Irish teenager Janet Devlin was voted off the show last night, while Anita Dobson became the latest celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
The EastEnders actress had danced with Brendan Cole on Saturday night because her regular partner, Robin Windsor, was suffering from a foot infection. They had performed a cha-cha-cha to Uptown Girl by Billy Joel, but received a mixed reception from the judges. All the couples then took part in a ‘swingathon’, taking to the floor to swing dance and being eliminated one by one by the panel.
Miss Dobson said last night: ‘Robin and Brendan are both talented guys but have a very different method of teaching. Robin is much more gentle and more humorous, Brendan is always pushing you.
‘I’m extremely tired though. I’d love to think I would carry on dancing because it gave me such joy.’
